Prayers were offered to God in honour of the President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa at the Asiwaju/ Obasa Special Ramadan/Lent Interfaith Prayer organised by Abiodun Olayinka Life Foundation.
Bringing together both Muslim and Christian leaders at the event, ably sponsored by the foundation’s founder, Dr Abiodun Olayinka, with the theme: Seeking Divine Guidance for a sustainable and progressive leadership. According to the clerics during their prayer session, our leaders will lead with wisdom, courage and ideas resulting in peace, unity, progress and religious tolerance.
Among the clerics present at the event were: Chairman, Orile-Agege Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Special Apostle Prophet Joseph Olubode; Chief Imam of Orile Agege Central Mosque, Sheikh Alh Nurudeen Ayinde Abolore Malowo and other CAN members and Imams. The erudite religious scholars raised their voice in prayers seeking divine wisdom, knowledge, sound health and guidance for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take Nigeria to a promised land and praying for the Speaker, Rt. Hon (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa for the next political assignment, and God grants his desires.
The hundreds of community leaders, political stakeholders in attendance reaffirmed their dedication to supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Speaker Rt.Hon. (Dr) Mudashiru Obasa and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the event, Orile-Agege LCDA Executive Chairman, Hon Idowu Akinola popularly known as “Dodo” appreciated the man behind the initiative, urging party members to go beyond campaigning but ensure their constituents are eligible to vote.
He emphasized on educating and mobilising their supporters to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), noting that failure to register will result in political setback, as it is the only tool to win election not campaigning.
